Rochdale Fire Station Visit
Saturday 22nd November 2025
This is a special event at the Rochdale Museum featuring displays by the Police, Fire and Rescue services and others including live demonstrations. There is a cafe on site. The Metrolink stop is opposite the museum with the railway station only 100 metres away. Although not an MHVC event as such Paul Simmons will co-ordinate on the day with any members who advise him in advance of their intention to attend.

Free on-site car parking.

Paul suggests after the visit a spot of late lunch for interested parties. The JD Whetherspoons in Rochdale centre is a very spectacular hostelry.

For those travelling by car and wish to later explore Rochdale, you will have to find alternative car parking, making Tram or Train a very attractive option.
Car parking at East Didsbury is free and has 278 spaces and a height restriction of 2.4 Metres. The Metrolink route from Didsbury will take you all the way to Rochdale. (Some trams terminate early though.)
